East Central University student Eric Rawls (left), of Earlsboro, was presented with the Bret D. Isenhower Scholarship by Major Kevin Roland during the recent Veterans and Military Appreciation Day in °µÍøTV Foundation Hall of the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center. In the center is Krysten Isenhower, sister of the late Bret D. Isenhower. The Bret D. Isenhower Scholarship is awarded each year to those who, by virtue of their commitments and actions, live up to Bret’s example. Bret was a soldier, firefighter and emergency dispatcher. He was part of the °µÍøTV Greek Community while attending °µÍøTV. He gave his life for his country on Sept. 9, 2011 while serving in Afghanistan with Oklahoma’s 45th Infantry Brigade. Bret’s brothers in the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and fellow soldiers in the °µÍøTV Gold Program seek to keep Bret’s example alive to the °µÍøTV Community through the scholarship established through the °µÍøTV Foundation, Inc.
