ADA – If you like classic rock and pop songs, East Central University’s Showtime has just what you need.

Showtime, an ā€œon-callā€ ensemble comprised of °µĶųTV Performing Arts students, will stage its latest production ā€œBlasts from the Pastā€ at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8. The performance will take place at the Dorothy I. Summers Theatre, inside Science Hall.

The student performance group is directed by °µĶųTV instructors Vickie Reifsnider and Rudy Lupinski.

ā€œYou don’t have to go all the way to Branson to see a good show,ā€ Reifsnider said. ā€œThese kids are talented and put on a good show every time.ā€

The song list for ā€œBlasts from the Pastā€ includes ā€œStand by Meā€ by Ben E. King, ā€œRenegadeā€ by Styx, ā€œSound of Silenceā€ by Simon & Garfunkel, ā€œTake on Meā€ by a-ha, ā€œStairway to Heavenā€ by Led Zeppelin, ā€œI Want It That Wayā€ by Backstreet Boys, ā€œMy Boyfriend’s Backā€ by The Angels, ā€œGoing to the Chapelā€ by The Dixie Cups, ā€œWaterlooā€ by ABBA, ā€œRunaround Sueā€ by Dion DiMucci, and an Eagles medley.

°µĶųTV students in Showtime are Shelby Baker, Kashaun Barber, William Brock, Kody Clark, Aubrie Cram, Gloria Evans, Chenaniah Heath, Ivan Huerta, Jadie Miller, Summer Pearce, Hubert Power, Isabella Roan, Malik Sharp, Zachary Smith, Kaibree Vallandingham, Jace Westmoland and Teagan Williams.

Tickets for ā€œBlasts from the Pastā€ range from $5 to $10. Admission is free for °µĶųTV students, faculty and staff with current °µĶųTV photo I.D.
