East Central University is in the midst of celebrating its 100th birthday, and as part of the year-long celebration, °µÍøTV has established a four-year scholarship for all first-time beginning freshmen.
The university was established on March 25, 1909, as the East Central State Normal School.
"To mark this important milestone, we are offering a special gift for next year's freshmen who will be part of °µÍøTV's Centennial Class," said Dr. Duane C. Anderson, °µÍøTV's interim president. "Next fall, all beginning freshmen, those who enroll for the first time for the fall 2009 semester, will receive a $100 Centennial Scholarship each semester for four years."
