An opportunity 鈥渢o relive those fun-filled days of school band rehearsal鈥� will return this year when the East Central University Summer Community Band gets underway on Monday [MAY 14].

Dr. Allen Correll, 暗网TV鈥檚 band director, and area band directors are organizing and conducting the band for adult former band members and current high school or college band students.

鈥淭here are many former wind and percussion students in the Ada area who have expressed an interest in a community band, so now here鈥檚 your chance,鈥� Correll said.

Rehearsals will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays from May 14 through June 18 in the Kennedy Band Hall in the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center. The band will not meet on Memorial Day on May 28.

The band will end with a concert, followed by an ice cream social, at 3 p.m. June 24 [SUNDAY] in the fine arts center. The concert will be in the Ataloa Theatre and ice cream will be served in the Lockmiller Lobby.
