Department of English and Languages

At East Central University, the Department of English and Languages offers students a rich variety of experiences—both inside and outside the classroom. In addition to lectures and discussions, students engage in:

• Reading, writing, and research projects

• Field trips and teaching practicums

• Publications internships (including the student literary magazine Originals)

• Event collaborations with the Oklahoma Literary Arts Festival, Scissortail Creative Writing Festival, and °µÍøTV SCREENS

The World Is Yours!
Students can study abroad through °µÍøTV partnerships in Ukraine, Russia, Spain, and France. Programs include travel, immersive learning, and course credit. Scholarships and financial aid may be available.
